I’ve done quite a bit of experimentation with Craigslist to generate traffic. While it does not drive "insane" traffic, it does generate enough to make it worth the effort.
Besides the fact that it's FREE, another huge benefit of Craigslist is that you don't have to make your ad "pretty". Beauty doesn’t matter at all here. You just need to post some relevant information and you’re done. Beauty doesn’t sell, but good information and links do. You can plug and chug rapidly.
So we have FREE... we have quick (no wasted time on design or beauty)... and last, but not least, we have very TARGETED traffic.
And that is a beautiful thing.
